8.3 Delivery drivers

8.3.1 A Delivery Driver is an employee engaged in the delivery of pizzas or other company products away from the employer's premises.

8.3.2 Method A Delivery Drivers may also perform certain other functions provided they are incidental to the primary function of delivering company products on any shift. These incidental functions are:

8.3.2(a) The folding of pizza boxes.

8.3.2(b) Placing pizza boxes into delivery pouches.

8.3.2(c) Cutting of pizzas and dispatching.

8.3.2(d) Placing of dockets on dispatch boards.

If Delivery Drivers perform any other duties, they must be paid at the appropriate rate for such duties as provided by Clause 16, Higher Grade Work.

8.4 Customer Service Attendants at higher skill levels will perform work at lower skill levels whenever required and requested, without loss of pay.

8.5 The necessary training to achieve the skill levels will be provided by the Employer in working time.

8.6 Advancement to a higher skill level will depend upon a satisfactory evaluation and actual performance of the tasks at the higher level.

8.7 Evaluations

8.7.1 All new employees, except Delivery Drivers, will commence at Grade 5 unless they are able to demonstrate possession of skills at a higher Grade.

8.7.2 Skill evaluations will be carried out to assess levels of competence. AR skills either held or acquired will be required to be demonstrated.

8.7.3 AR skill evaluations will be conducted by the immediate supervisor or other appropriate personnel. In the event of disagreement, the matter will be decided by a Manager nominated by the Employer. The Customer Service Attendant will be given adequate opportunity to demonstrate possession of skills at the higher level.
